About Me

 

I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental differences, including social communication and attention challenges, as well as anxiety, mood and adjustment disorders in children, adolescents and adults.  I was previously a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine where I worked at the NYU Child Study Center. 

I also served as a member of NYU Steinhardt’s ASD Nest Support Project providing consultation to the New York City Department of Education’s ASD Nest Program on social-emotional and behavioral supports for students across elementary, middle and high school settings.

I have received specialized training in behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, social skills training interventions, parent management training and standardized Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnostic assessment.

I provide frequent talks and workshops to a range professional as well as family/caregiver audiences within the New York community including the New York City Department of Education, ADAPT Community Network and the Legal Aid Society.  I am member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
